At PhuForest, we strive to make the shipping process as straightforward and efficient as possible. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about our shipping practices:

How are shipping rates determined?

Shipping rates depend on various factors including weight, destination, package size, and the shipping date. Since wood is heavy, shipping costs may be higher than anticipated. Here are some tips to help you manage shipping costs:

– Free Shipping: Our value packs and inspector’s choice boards include free shipping via UPS Ground.
– Package Size: For the lowest flat shipping rates, keep packages under 8 feet in length and under 70 lbs. Boards exceeding 7 feet or 70 lbs may incur additional handling charges.
– Weight Considerations: Orders between 70-150 lbs can be shipped via UPS, but may be more expensive. We will package such orders in 10 or 20 board foot increments to reduce costs. Orders over 150 lbs will be shipped as LTL (less than truckload) unless specified otherwise.
-Bulk Purchases: Ordering in bulk can be more cost-effective. LTL shipments are the most affordable for orders of 150+ lbs, particularly if you purchase 250-500 board feet. Having extra lumber on hand can be beneficial for future projects or repairs. Note that someone must be present at the delivery site for LTL shipments, but alternative shipping options can be arranged if needed.

We aim to provide the best shipping rates and only charge what the carrier charges us. You can check our shipping rates using our shipping calculator or contact us for a quote. For complex orders, contacting us directly is recommended.

When will my order ship?

Orders are processed within 3-4 business days of receipt. The shipping speed depends on the products ordered. You will receive email updates and tracking information once your order leaves our facility. For scheduling questions before placing your order, feel free to email us for answers.

When will I receive my order?

After processing, shipping times vary based on the products and shipping method. We will keep you informed with tracking details once your order departs. For LTL shipments, contact us for estimated transit times.

Do you ship via freight for large orders?

Yes, we use a network of freight companies for large orders and can arrange this service for you.

Do you ship outside of Germany?

Currently, we only ship to customers within the contiguous Austria. We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Can I track my order once it leaves your warehouse?

Yes, you will receive an email notification with tracking information once your order has been processed and is on its way.

Can I return a product for a refund?
